Method

1. Add ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml to your installer sources list
2.Navigate to 1.1.3 jailbreak+iPhone Apps
3. Install the 1.1.3 Jailbreak
4. Wait (at on time it will look like it is frozen for up to an hour but it is not)
5.Your iPod will restart a couple of times
6. Enjoy your new 1.1.3 Jailbroken iPod
(if needed)7. If your iPod goes into recovery mode when you reboot it then download iBrickr 0.91 and boot it out of recovery

NOTES: This may take up to an 2 hours to complete. Do Not Switch off your iPod or it will be requiring a restore.

To get the January update for free, add http://madpike05.googlepages.com/repo.xml to your sources in Installer, then navigate to The iPhone 1.1.3 Apps. in categories and install “The iPhone 1.1.3 Apps”.
Don’t worry about patching Springboard or activation pop-ups, etc, it’s all fixed since this is the real iPod firmware.Be aware, your applications may not show up, you’ll have to uninstall and resinstall them.
Some may not work at all on 1.1.3, but it’s the risk you take.Enjoy. Please report any problems in this thread.

On further research it seems that this will work on the iPod Touch but will be severely somewhat unstable. So I recommend to try this ONLY on an iPhone it will work for the time being until a specialist iPod Touch Jailbreak is released.

On More Research it seems it is safe to carry out this JailBreak on a iPod Touch. But I , anybody else cannot be held be responsible for anything that may cause any damage to your iPod / iPhone. This here is what is on Nate True’s Site. (in case it’s laggy)

MAC VERSION – Download the 1.1.3 package maker and open it, then run Run_This. Read carefully, press Enter when necessary, and the image will be uploaded to your phone.

Here’s how you do it:
- Start with a 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 jailbroken phone with Installer.app installed.
- Plug in your phone via USB to your computer.
- Download, extract, and run iBrickr Special 1.1.3 jailbreak edition (ibrickr.exe in the archive).
- iBrickr will determine what firmware you are running on your phone and make sure you can run the update.
- iBrickr will then guide you through the process of obtaining and modifying the 1.1.3 firmware (make sure to read everything thoroughly).
- iBrickr will upload the new firmware image to your phone. Note that this only puts the file on your phone and does not modify it at all, yet.
- When iBrickr finishes (should take about 10 minutes), it will tell you to go to Installer and install the “1.1.3 soft upgrade” package. Do that.
- When the installer finishes (this should take another 10-15 minutes), your phone should reboot with a fresh activated 1.1.3 firmware.

This hasn’t been confirmed yet but does mean,if true then we can expect a jailbreak method quite soon while the other remains hidden so when Apple releases 1.1.4/the SDK we could use the other method that Apple couldn’t patch (because they wouldn’t have known what the exploit is)
